Paste Special in Microsoft Word: The Paste Special is a feature that allows you to paste the content with several formats such as a Microsoft Word Object, Formatted Text, Unformatted Text, Picture file, Html format, and Unformatted Unicode Text. These are explained below. 

Steps to follow in using the Paste Special in Microsoft Word:

  1. Go to the Home tab
  2. Enter and select the text with some format you want
  3. Then cut or copy the text (to put it on the clipboard)

4. Now click on the drop-down arrow of the Paste

5. Then click on the Paste Special, now automatically a window Paste Special Window opens

6. After that, choose one of the text formatting options given in the window. For example, Formatted Text (RTF).

7. Then  click OK

Now, let's discuss all about the Paste Special Format in Microsoft Word below:

Microsoft Word Document Object:

The feature Microsoft Word Object Document is one of the content format options to paste the contents of the clipboard. After the contents of the clipboard have been pasted in this format into the word document, even if you move it or move any other objects around it the whole body of this content never degrades as it was before.

Microsoft Word Document Object (Display as a icon):

This feature allows you to Pastes the content of the clipboard as a Microsoft Word Object icon. To edit the content, you need to open (Microsoft word document object) it by double-clicking.

Formatted Text:

In this feature, you can paste the contents of the clipboard without degrading (as if it was before cutting or copying) as a Real-Time Formatted Text.

Unformatted Text:

It helps to paste the contents of the clipboard without any Formatting as a Plain Text.

Picture (Enhanced Metafile):

This feature allows you to paste the contents of the clipboard as a Picture (Enhanced Metafile)

HTML Format:

This feature allows you to paste the contents of the clipboard as a Hyper Text Markup Language (HTML). The HTML format is used on the website.

Unformatted Unicode Text:

It allows you to pastes the contents of the clipboard without any formatting with character encoder as a Plain Text. Unformatted Unicode Text is a universal standard character accepted by all system software in the world.
