What is Synchronous Scrolling in MS-Word & Excel: Synchronous scrolling is one of the great features, used to compare contents of two documents at the same time by scrolling one of the two documents. To use this feature, follow the steps below.

Synchronous Scrolling in MS-Word:

  • Open or create two excel worksheets that you want to compare the contents of each other.
  • Now go to the “View” tab
  • To turn on the feature, click on the “View Side by Side”.
  • Automatically two window/excel workbooks arrange side by side.
  • Now scroll one of the window/excel workbooks using scroll bar (use whether left-side or right-side document) to scroll two workbook (synchronous scrolling)at the same time.
  • To turn off the feature, deselect the “synchronous scrolling” by clicking it.
