What is Synchronous Scrolling in MS Word & Excel?

Synchronous scrolling is one of the great features used to compare the contents of two documents at the same time by scrolling one of the two documents. To use this feature, follow the steps below.

Synchronous Scrolling in MS Word

Open or create two excel worksheets you want to compare the contents of each other.

Now go to the “View” tab

To turn on the feature, click on “View Side by Side”.

Automatically two window/excel workbooks arrange side by side.

Now scroll one of the window/excel workbooks using the scroll bar (use whether left-side or right-side document) to scroll two workbooks at the same time.

To turn off this feature, deselect the “synchronous scrolling” by clicking it.

How to Scroll Two Sheets at a Time in MS Excel

Open or create two documents you want to compare the contents of each other → Then go to the “View” tab → Click on the “View Side by Side
