Getting Started with the Text Effects and Typography Settings:

The Text Fill:

The text fill is a pre-designed effect. It is used to focus specific content, such as headings, subheadings, and so on. Color Fill is one of the text fill alternatives that includes Color, Shadow, and Outline effects.

Type and select the text to which you want to apply the text fill effects.

On the Home tab, click on the “Text Effects and Typography Icon.”

Under the “Text Effects and Typography Icon”, roll the mouse pointer over the different styled letters and select one of them.

The Outline:

The Outline lets you change the Outline Color, weight, and Dashes. Follow the steps below to apply the effects.

Type and Select the text you want

Afterwards, On the Home tab, Click the “Text Effects and Typography Icon”.

Under the “Text Effects and Typography Icon”, select one of the filling options you want

Then click on the Outline 

And afterwards, select one of the Theme Colors and Outline Widths or Dashes.

Now, look at the 5th step of the Text Fill effect in the Picture below.

To remove the Outline, click on the No Outline.

The Shadow:

Apply the different shadow effects to the selected text, such as the outer shadow effect, inner shadow effect, or perspective shadow effect. To do this, follow the steps below.

Type and Select the text you want

On the Home tab, in the Font group, click the “Text Effects and Typography Icon”,

Under the “Text Effects and Typography Icon”, select one of the filling options you want.

Then click on the shadow.

And then select one of the Shadow options, such as outer, inner, or perspective. 

To remove the Shadow of the text, click on the No Shadow Icon.

The Glow in Text Effects and Typography in MS Word:

To apply different colored glow effects to the selected text, follow the steps below.

Enter and Select the text you want

On the Home tab, under the “Text Effects and Typography Icon”, select one of the filling options you want.

Then click on the Glow, and then select one of the Glow Variants

To remove the glow from the text, click on the “No Glow Icon”.

The Number Styles in Text Effects and Typography in MS Word:

Change the different number styles you want to the selected numbers, such as a proportional lining, a tabular lining, a proportional old-style, or a tabular old-style. To do this, follow the steps below.

Enter and select the number you want to change its style to.

After that, click on the “Text Effects and Typography Icon”, on the Home tab.

Now move your mouse pointer over “Number Styles”, and then select one of the number style options you want.

After that, click on the “Text Effects and Typography Icon”,

Now move your mouse pointer over “Ligatures”, and then select one of the Ligature options you want.

The Stylistic Sets in Text Effects and Typography in MS Word:

Type and Select the text in the document you want

Then click on the “Text Effects and Typography” icon on the Home tab in the Font group.

Now move your mouse pointer over the “Stylistic Sets”, and then select one of the text styles you want.
