Page, Paragraph, Line and Columns Breaks in MS-Word: In this article, you will learn a very important points related to the paragraph formatting,  such as Page break, Paragraph Break, Line Break, and Column Break in MS-Word Document.

Page Break:

Start a new page from the current position or Move a Paragraph from the current page to the next page.

Steps:

  1. Keep some text you want
  2. Position the cursor at the beginning of the line or paragraph that you want to break
  3. Then strike (press) the Ctrl + Enter

Keyboard Shortcut: Ctrl + Enter

Paragraph Break:

Split a Paragraph into two paragraphs.

Steps:

  1. Keep some text you want
  2. Position the cursor at the beginning of the line in a paragraph that you want to break
  3. Then strike (press) the Enter

Keyboard Shortcut: Enter

Line Break:

Breaks a line of the paragraph in  the document.

Steps:

  1. Keep some text you want
  2. Position the cursor at the beginning of a line in a paragraph that you want to break
  3. Then strike (press) the Shift + Enter

Keyboard Shortcut: Shift + Enter

Column Break:

Column Break in MS-Word: Break a column from the current left to the right. To break a column, you should split the text into two, three, left or right column.

Steps:

  1. Keep some text you want
  2. Position the cursor at the beginning of the line in a column that you want to break
  3. Then strike (press) the Shift + Ctrl + Enter

Keyboard Shortcut: Shift Ctrl + Enter.
