How to Rotate or Flip Objects in MS Word – 2022

Rotating an object is a circular movement in different degrees around a centre point of it. Under the “Rotate” have various commands to rotate and flip the objects such as Rotate Right 900, Rotate Right 900, Flip vertical, and Flip Horizontal.

A vertical object, flipping vertically upside down means flipping along a vertical axis, and a horizontal object flipping along a horizontal axis from left to right (like a mirror image along the horizontal axis) is called a flipping object.

How to Rotate Objects:

Step to be followed in rotating an object in a word document:

  1. Go to the Insert tab
  2. In the illustrations group, select and insert one of the illustrations such as Pictures, Shapes, Icons, or 3D Models.
  3. As soon as you insert any illustration, the Format tab will open or go to the Layout tab (The format tab appears when the object is on the selection). For example, if you insert a shape, the drawing tools “Shape Format” tab will open
  4. Now on the Format tab, in the Arrange group, click Rotate
  5. Then select any of the two options under the Rotate to rotate the selected object to 9o left or 9o right.

Step to be followed in flipping an object in a word document:
