Grouping, Ungrouping and Rotating the Objects in MS-Word:

Grouping, Ungrouping and Rotating the Objects in MS-Word: Grouping means making more objects together into one object. And Ungrouping means dividing the grouped objects as if they were a single object. Similarly, Rotating objects means the circular movement of the objects in different degrees around a center point of it.

Grouping the Objects in MS-Word:

Grouping the Objects in MS-Word: Grouping means making more objects together into one object to move, resize, and change its styles and effects as if they were a single object. 

Steps to follow in grouping the objects:

  1. Go to the Insert tab
  2. Then click on the Pictures, Shapes, Icons, or 3D Models in the Illustrations group.
  3. Then insert the objects as much as you want by click on the Pictures, Shapes, Icons, or 3D Models, (In the case of a picture, you should position it to move freely)
  4. Now the Format tab will open or go to the Layout tab (Format tab appears when only the Objects are in the selection)
  5. Select all the objects that you have inserted (To select the objects, Press and hold down the Ctrl key, and then click on the multiple objects or go to the Home tab, then click on the Select, and then click on the Select Objects, Now drag with the left mouse button over the objects)
  6. In the Arrange group, click on the Group to show the Group and Ungroup commands
  7. Then Select the Group
  8. Now all the selected objects have been made together into one object.

Ungrouping the Objects in MS-Word:

Steps to follow in ungrouping the objects:

  1. Go to the Insert tab

  10. Now the grouped objects are divided as if they were a single object.

Rotating and Flipping the Objects in MS-Word:

Rotating an object is a circular movement in different degrees around a center point of it. Under the “Rotate” have various commands to rotate and flip the objects such as Rotate Right 900, Rotate Right 900, Flip vertical, and Flip Horizontal.

Step to follow in Rotating and Flipping an Object:

  1. Go to the Insert tab
  2. Then click on the Pictures, Shapes, Icons, or 3D Models in the Illustrations group.
  3. After that, insert the objects as much as you want by click on the Pictures, Shapes, Icons, or 3D Models.
  4. Now the Format tab will open or go to the Layout tab (Format tab appears when only the Objects are in the selection)
  5. Click on the Rotate in the Arrange group
  6. Then select any one of the commands under the Rotation.
