How to Create a Bulleted and Numbered List in MS-Word

Creating a Bulleted List: Highlighting each word/line/sentence in your Word document with a bulleted list helps to make the text easier to read and understand.

To get started with the bulleted list, follow the steps in its entirety:

→ Go to the Home tab

→ Click on the drop-down arrow of the Bullets, which is the first option in the Paragraph group.

→ Under the command “Bullet”, Select one of the options that you want to start the bulleted list

→ Now the Bullet is being inserted into your word document to start its list

→ After you insert the bullet, start typing the word/sentence that you want

→ Then press the enter key to start the next bullet point. Do this in the same way to create the Bulleted List.

→ To start the new section with a word, sentence or paragraph without a Bulleted list, strike the Enter key 2 times.

Creating a Numbered List in MS Word:

Creating a numbered list is the same as creating a bulleted list as explained above.

→ On the Home tab, the drop-down arrow of the Numbering, which is the second option in the Paragraph group.

→ Under the command “Numbering”, Select one of the options that you want to start the numbered list

→ Now the Number is being inserted into your word document to start its list.

→ After you insert the number, start typing the word/sentence that you want, 

→ Then press the enter key to start the next serial number. Do this in the same way to create the Number List.

→ To start the new section with a word, sentence or paragraph without a Numbered list, strike the Enter key 2 times.
